What is a diet? It’s what you eat.
A ketogenic diet is not a “diet” it is more a way of eating, it comprises of high fat, moderate protein and little or no carbohydrates. The resulting ketogenic state is safe. We have evolved this way, it is the presence of carbohydrates (sugars) in our diet that have caused so much harm. Long term benefits of this diet are only achieved when dietary carbohydrates are consistently restricted on a daily basis. Fat adaption occurs and improves over time and we need this time for our health to improve.
If we adopt a ketogenic way of life the benefits are huge – better weight control, improved mental clarity, less type 2 diabetes, reduced risk of cancer, fatty liver, PCOS, improved longevity, reduced risk of dementia, hypertension and cardiovascular disease – why wouldn’t you do this?
